2015 China-ASEAN Expo Tourism Exhibition held in Guilin, China

The 2015 China-ASEAN Expo (CAEXPO) Tourism Exhibition, jointly organized by the China National Tourism Administration  (CNTA) and the People's Government of Guangxi Zhuang Autonomous Region, was held in Guilin, China from May 29-31, 2015.

The 2015 CAEXPO Tourism Exhibition, themed as "Tourism Cooperation and Development of the 21st Maritime Silk Road", aims to built itself into a world-renowned exposition for the tourism cooperation and exchanges between China and ASEAN countries.

Guilin International Conference and Exhibition Center
Venue for the exposition is the Guilin International Conference and Exhibition Center. Within, the exhibition area of 23,000 square meters has been divided into several main exhibition zones for nearly 1,000 booths. These zones cover international tourism, Chinese tourism, Guangxi tourism, a tourism commodity show and a tourism consumption show. About 800 enterprises and more than 300 overseas buyers from nearly 50 countries and regions will attend the event.


CAEXPO Tourism Exhibition is an important part of the CAEXPO development policy of "one main exhibition with a number of professional exhibitions". Guilin in Norheeast Guangxi enjoys good geological location and easily accessible transportation with rich tourism resources. More importantly, many international expos have been successfully held in Guilin, such as China Guilin International Tourism Expo, Boao Forum for Asian Tourism, World Tourism Trend and Prospect International Forum. Thus, Guilin has been selected as the permanent hosted city of China-ASEAN Expo Tourism Exhibition, annually since 2015.

About China-ASEAN Expo
The China-ASEAN (Association of Southeast Asian Nations) Expo or CAEXPO, co-sponsored by China and 10 ASEAN member states, is an international trade event held annually in Nanning, Guangxi, China. Since 2004, this event has been held successfully for 11 consecutive years every September or October, which promote effectively the bilateral cooperation of China and ASEAN countries in various fields. The ASEAN countries include Brunei Darussalam, Cambodia, Indonesia, Laos, Malaysia, Myanmar, the Philippines, Singapore, Thailand and Vietnam.

Tourism is one of the 11 key cooperation fields between China and ASEAN countries. Since the establishment of the China-ASEAN Free Trade Area, there is a rapid development in tourism industry. As a result, China and all the ASEAN countries have become important tourist source countries for each other. In view of the bright future, the Tourism Exhibition was born at the right moment.
