1. Pickpockets

As one of the most popular tourist destinations, Guilin is always a must for all the tourists. In the downtown of Guilin or on the West Street in Yangshuo, visitors need to be careful of the pickpockets. Sometimes some local young guys come to the foreign visitors and tell them they are school students and just want to practice their oral English, please remember this might be a trap, and it is not a good idea to stay too close to those guys or follow them to somewhere as some of those guys are pickpockets.
