Q:How long is the cruise, and where will I have my lunch?
The Li River cruise from Guilin to Yangshuo goes 83 kilometers long. And, you’ll have about 4 hours to enjoy the journey. During rainy season, the water level is high, the cruise time can be less like 3.5 hours. And during the low season, the cruise time can be a little longer.
Your lunch will be served on board around 12 o'clock at noontime.
If you choose the 3- or 4-star boats, the lunch on board will be simpler like in-flight meals served on plane.; while if on regular cruise, it will be a set menu with several different Chinese dishes. Since all the cruises have to use the same government-approved food supplier, the food on board doesn't cater very much to the taste of Western tourists, its quality seems so-and-so for quite a while.
