Ziyuan River Lantern and Song Festival

Every 12th to 14th of July in the Chinese lunar calendar, local residents are singing and lighting lanterns to memorize their forefathers and prevent themselves from disasters. People bring lanterns to the local rivers and free them on the river. It is a fantastic scene in the night. During the festival, many folk activities, like lion-dancing, dragon-dancing, elephant tug, cock-fighting, goat-fighting and sheep-fighting. Besides, visitors can have a full view of the attractions around Ziyuan County.
